As a Charlotte wedding photographer, I know how important it is to find a wedding venue that showcases the beauty of the city while looking for the perfect venue to accommodate your needs. Combine that with the right person to document it all, the beauty of the people, the day, and the sights, and you’ve got a photo gallery from The Morehead Inn in Charlotte you’ll be flipping through for years to come.

Getting Ready at The Morehead Inn in Charlotte

Abby and Doug’s day at The Morehead Inn was full of fun, dancing, and laughter.

As their photographer and videographer, we knew how important it was to them to relish in every moment. We honored their love by treating each moment with intention and care, giving the space to really live in the moment.

They decided to get ready separately but enjoy a first look together before the ceremony. Abby spent the morning dancing to Hannah Montana with her girls in the room, sharing gifts with each other, and popping champagne.

Doug got ready with his boys at the house on the property. They watched football, drank beers, and hung out until it was time for the first look.

We love The Morehead Inn because of the vibe it offers. A wedding day can be hectic and busy, but the old-world charm allows you to settle down, take a breath, and feel comfortable while the Southern hospitality and charm of the house carries you through the day. The Rose Garden, where the ceremony, dinner, first dances, and toasts were held, can hold up to 150 people. They do have options for tenting and lighting, should you need. Abby and Doug made use of almost the entire venue, with their first look being held in the Great Room and late night dancing being held in the tea room.

We loved the outdoor patio for their couples portraits.

Wedding Reception at The Morehead Inn

As their photographer and videographer, we had a blast celebrating them on the dance floor. We finished the night with a sparkler exit and sent them off with love.

Meet your photographer

I’m a North Carolina-based wedding and elopement photographer and videographer, always ready to pack a bag for wherever your love takes you. Photography became my passion after losing my dad and realizing how much I wished I had more recent memories of him to look back on. That’s why I do what I do: to preserve the love, laughter, and connection in a way that feels as warm and sentimental as sunshine itself.

Your memories deserve to be captured & remembered. That’s what I’m here for.

this is my story
