for those who love big,
live bold,
and cherish the fleeting, sentimental moments.
You didn't choose Jackson Hole because it was easy to get to. You chose it because it stopped your breath the first time you saw it - the jagged peaks of the Tetons rising out of nowhere, the way the light hits the Snake River at golden hour like something out of a dream. And if that's the place you're saying your vows? You deserve a Jackson Hole wedding photographer who's going to feel all of that right alongside you.
Hi, I'm Jena, and I'm the heart behind Sunshine Sentiments- a destination wedding photographer who travels the world for love stories like yours. I'll be honest: Jackson Hole is one of my absolute favorite places to shoot. There's nowhere else quite like it. Grand Teton National Park has this way of making everything feel bigger, wilder, and more real - which is exactly the energy I want to bring to your wedding day photos.

I'm not here to hand you a shot list and a pose guide. I'm here to hang out with you, hype you up, and get that photo - the one where you're laughing so hard you forgot the camera was even there. The one your grandkids are going to ask about someday.
As your Jackson Hole photographer, I focus on the moments between the moments. The way your partner looks at you right before the first dance starts. Your dad trying to hold it together during the ceremony (and failing beautifully). The chaotic, glorious mess of your people celebrating you on the dance floor. Those are the photos that end up on your walls. Those are the ones you'll reach for when you want to remember how it felt.
I shoot in both digital and film, which means your gallery gets that timeless, editorial feel - sun-warmed and soft in all the right places - while still capturing every candid, unscripted, this-is-actually-us moment.
The subtle glances, the way your partner squeezes your hand, the chaos of your loved ones breaking it down (sometimes badly!) on the dance floor. I focus on capturing the emotions, big & small, so your memories are preserved forever in the most meaningful way.
Three
If the thought of stiff poses or forced smiles makes you squirm, I’ve got you. You deserve photos that feel like you. Think of it more like hanging out with a friend who just happens to have a camera in hand (and who happens to get that perfect shot!)
Two
If you care more about the way your partner makes you laugh than how “perfect” your hair looks in the wind, we’re a match made in heaven. I’m here for the real, unfiltered moments. The messy kisses, the happy tears, and the laughter that makes your sides hurt.

From the iconic barns of Grand Teton National Park to the rustic charm of downtown Jackson - the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar, the sweeping views at Schwabacher Landing, the stillness of Mormon Row at sunrise - every corner of Jackson Hole is a backdrop that does the heavy lifting for us. And I am not mad about it.
Some of my favorite spots to shoot with couples include:
Schwabacher Landing - if golden hour light and mirror-still water sounds like your vibe, this is it. Absolutely unreal.
Mormon Row - iconic, historic, and endlessly beautiful. The Tetons framed behind those old barns? It never gets old.
Colter Bay - a little more tucked away, perfect for couples who want that intimate, just-the-two-of-us energy.
No matter where your day takes us, I'll be right there with you - scrambling up rocks, chasing the light, and making sure we don't miss a single second.

What is the best time of year for a Jackson Hole wedding?
Honestly? It's hard to go wrong. Late June through early October is the sweet spot. The wildflowers are out, the Tetons are shining, and you get those long golden hour windows that make for dreamy portraits.
September is my personal favorite. The summer crowds thin out, the aspen trees start turning gold, and the light is genuinely magic. If you're picturing fall foliage and mountain peaks in the same frame - September is your month.
Winter weddings in Jackson Hole are an entirely different kind of stunning - snow-covered barns, cozy warmth, and that hushed stillness that only Wyoming winters bring. Just know that some locations (like Schwabacher Landing) may have limited access, and we'll plan accordingly!

Do I need a permit to get married or elope in Grand Teton National Park?
Yes! If you're planning a ceremony inside Grand Teton National Park — which is one of the most magical places on earth to say your vows, by the way — you'll need a Special Use Permit from the National Park Service. The good news: I've helped couples navigate this process before and I'm happy to point you in the right direction.
Permits can be applied for through the Grand Teton National Park website, and they're typically required for any organized event with more than a handful of guests. For intimate elopements, the requirements can vary, so I always recommend checking early — especially if you're dreaming of peak season dates.

What are the best locations to take photos in Jackson Hole?
Oh, this is my favorite question. Jackson Hole is basically one giant backdrop — everywhere you turn, it's stunning. But here are a few spots I love to shoot:
Schwabacher Landing — mirror-still water, Teton reflections, and golden hour light all in one frame. One of the most iconic Jackson Hole photographer locations for a reason.
Mormon Row — historic barns, open prairie, and mountain peaks. Timeless and endlessly beautiful.
Colter Bay — a little more tucked away and intimate, perfect for couples who want that just-the-two-of-us energy.
I'll always tailor locations to your vibe, your timeline, and what the light is doing that day. I've got you!

Yes! When you book a photo and video package, you get the best of both worlds: digital and film photography and Super 8 videography for the vintage film of your dreams.
Your Super 8 film will be a highlight film of the whole day - bits and pieces of every event, hug, and laugh. Full ceremony and toasts can be film on digital upon request.
If you want to hear your vows, and your toasts, just let me know. Super 8 does not typically come with audio capture, but I'm happy to upon request.
